FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has confirmed four Kentuckians have died as a result of recent flooding.

According to the governor on Monday, the additional deaths include that of a 27-year-old McCracken County man and a 65-year-old Trigg County man.

“Please join Britainy and me as we pray their families,” Beshear said.

This follows historic flooding in areas of Kentucky, which has impacted businesses, homes and roads, some of which remain flooded today.

Officials encourage Kentuckians to avoid crossing roads covered by water and discourage drivers from traveling around signs and barriers.

News 40 continues to gather information on flooding impacts both in the local viewing area and across Kentucky.
