Beshear announces approval of public assistance for those impacted by recent storms
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear announced in a Facebook post that the Commonwealth of Kentucky has been approved for public assistance for the storms that happened during early April and mid-May.
The public assistance affects 64 counties across the state, including Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Metcalfe and Warren counties.
A total of $56 million in relief will be heading to the Bluegrass State.
In his post, Beshear thanks President Donald Trump and secretary Kristi Noem for their efforts and says that this funding is essential to helping communities rebuild after the storms.
