Beaver Dam teen charged with rape of woman
BEAVER DAM, Ky. – The Beaver Dam Police Department is investigating an alleged rape.
The department says it responded to the 200 block of West 4th Street to a possible domestic violence call.
Ohio County Central Dispatch received three 911 calls from a cell phone pinging in that area. Dispatch said all three calls were disconnected before dispatchers could determine what was happening. Dispatchers say they could hear the caller saying “no.”
Beaver Dam police officers say they located a female outside a residence. The female complainant told officers she met a man, Cesar Sanchez, 18, of Beaver Dam, online.
According to a uniform citation, the woman stated that she had consensual sex with Sanchez but he allegedly held her down and did not agree to stop when she asked.
Officers located Sanchez and placed him under arrest.
Sanchez is charged with first-degree rape. He is lodged at the Ohio County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
