Battle of the Badges Blood Drive

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Paul Davis property restoration experts are restoring more than property. They are uniting Bowling Green law enforcement agencies, along with their friends and families so they can participate in the Battle of the Badges blood drive.

Ronnie Ward, the PIO with the Bowling Green Police Department describes the atmosphere during the blood drive. Ronnie says, “This is a competition, and you can see that it must be fierce because there are many people in this room giving blood. But we know we know that the police are going to come out on top.”

All games aside, these law enforcement agencies are giving the gift of life that makes a difference in many families that give blood.

Patrick Sims, a project manager with Paul Davis shares the impact that this makes. He says, “When we think about the impact we have, it really brings a lot of value to the operation we’re doing here. We got a lot of families in our community, a lot of families here in our business that, you know, have needs like this. “

This one sacrifice is making a massive difference with the rise in injuries during the summer. The need for blood increases daily.

“The truth of the matter is everybody wins. It’s important to give blood year-round. But the summertime especially. “

Not only is this benefiting the families that will utilize this resource it will also impact the people who donate.

Katie Mckee, the PIO for Bowling Green Fire Department tells us why law enforcement agencies do what they do. Katie says, “We are here to make a difference in our community, and we will do that in any way possible. So this is just another way that we can get out there and do what we can to help those in our community. “

The winner of this great cause is the Bowling Green Fire Department. If you were inspired to give blood, you can find more information on how you can give blood by visiting https://www.redcross.org/give-blood.html.
