Barren River Lake Cleanup taking place Sept. 21
BARREN COUNTY, Ky.- Keeping the places you love clean isn’t always easy, but help from others can lighten the load.
The Barren River community is once again uniting for the 37th annual Lakeshore Clean-Up, an event that invites everyone to pitch in and beautify the lake shore.
This family-friendly activity provides a chance for participants to get their hands dirty while making a positive impact on their environment.
Holly Myers, park ranger with the U.S. Army, highlights the dual benefits of the event: “Not only does it physically clean up our shoreline, keeping things clean and looking nice, but it also allows our lake community to give back to a place they love.”
The clean-up is scheduled for Sept. 21, with registration now open.
Those under 18 will need a parent’s signature to participate. For more information and to register, visit Friends of Barren River Lake website.
