Barren County students now have a way to avoid losing school days due to snow

GLASGOW Ky.-The Barren County School District is offering a new way around losing school days due to snow.

It’s called ILearn@home. When a predicted snow day is coming up, teachers can open an online portal that allows the students to take a full class online.

It’s earns them the same credit as being in class, meaning they won’t lose scheduled days off like those during spring break. It’s offered through all schools and all grade levels.

Students can opt to have paper copies instead. It’s for those who may not have internet access, or if they simply prefer paper copies.
