UPDATE: 1 flown after injury accident in Barren County

GLASGOW, Ky. – One person has been flown after a crash in Barren County, authorities say.

Chief Deputy Mike Houchens with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened near the 8000 block of Happy Valley Road on Friday afternoon.

Both lanes of traffic are blocked.

Kentucky State Police public affairs officer trooper Katan Parker says KSP is now working the crash. Parker says Highway 90 is shut down near Cave City.

Parker says one person has serious injuries and has been flown.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office asks motorists to use caution driving in the area and to seek alternative routes.
