Barren County men allegedly steal appliances in resale scheme

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department is investigating a stolen merchandise scheme at a local business.
According to a uniform citation, the department received information that an employee at Lowe’s, Isaac Logsdon, 23, of Glasgow, was “pushing out” appliances from the store over the course of several months.
Officers say Lowe’s discovered the merchandise to be valued at $60,000. 22 instances were provided to officers.
GPD says Caleb McClellan, 20, of Glasgow, picked up the appliances “most of the time,” according to the citation.
Detectives say that several “new” refrigerators were found while investigating McClellan’s Facebook page.
GPD conducted a search warrant of Logsdon’s home on Trista Lane in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Officers say four allegedly stolen refrigerators were located, along with a small bag of suspected marijuana.
Logsdon was arrested and is charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition $10,000 < $1,000,000, acquisition of retail merchandise for resale, and possession of marijuana. He is lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
McClellan is charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition $10,000 < $1,000,000 and acquisition of retail merchandise for resale.
