Barren County man charged with making false reports to law enforcement

PARK CITY, Ky. – A Park City man is charged with providing a false report that generated an emergency response on two different occasions.
According to a uniform citation, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded with the Kentucky State Police on Saturday to reports of a female subject being shot in the neck in the driveway of a residence on Indian Mills Road in Park City.
Authorities say upon arrival, they searched for an injured female subject.
However, deputies say they were not able to find anyone that had been injured in any way.
In total this date, the citation states four KSP troopers, two BCSO deputies, one Cave City Police Department officer, Barren-Metcalfe EMS and members of the Park City Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
Authorities say they attempted to speak with 53-year-old Jamie Skaggs of Park City, but he tried to slam the door in their face and fled back into the home.
An additional call from Skaggs came in on Nov. 20, the citation states, when Skaggs contacted 911 in reference to trespassers with guns at his residence.
On that same date, the citation states Skaggs told a deputy that his mother had been shot and was dead inside of a single-wide trailer on the same property.
Authorities say they did not find anyone dead on the property.
Skaggs was arrested and remains at the Barren County Detention Center on a charge of false report which generates an emergency response.
