Barren County man charged with assault after argument over family’s cats
PARK CITY, Ky.- A Park City man is charged with assault after a dispute with his family over some cats.
According to an arrest citation, Barren County sheriff’s deputies responded Thursday to a home in the 100 block of East 3rd Street in Park City.
According to an arrest citation, deputies learned that Robert King, 61, attacked and cut his father with hedge shears and pushed his elderly mother to the ground, causing her to break her glasses and hit her head.
The citation states that the incident occurred after “a disagreement concerning the cats.”
King was charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
