Barren County is masking up again, clerks office closed due to COVID

GLASGOW, Ky. – Effective immediately, anyone entering the Barren County Government Center is required to wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering.
“This requirement is necessary due to the increase of positive COVID cases within the community and based upon the recommendation of Governor Beshear, the Centers for Disease Control and the Kentucky Department of Public Health,” reads a release from the Barren County Judge-Executive’s office.
Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
Meanwhile, at the Barren County Clerk’s Office, a clerk tested positive for COVID which has resulted in the county clerk making the decision to close the office until Aug. 9, according to the clerk’s Facebook page.
