Barren County Historical Society to present brief history of Green and Barren rivers

GLASGOW, Ky. – If you’re looking to learn something about your local history, look no further than Barren County.

Tonight, the Barren County Historical Society is hosting a talk by Gary K. Dillard on the history of travel on the Barren and Green Rivers from 1833 to 1965.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and everyone is welcome to this free event.

You can find out what came before the Green River Ferry and meet community members along the way.

The meeting will take place at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center at 200 W. Water St. in Glasgow.
