Barren County High School introduces virtual club rush
GLASGOW Ky.-School clubs are a big part of students getting that much needed social interaction, but how will this work during the pandemic? One local high school has a solution.
Barren County High School has unveiled the virtual club rush on the school website, where students can get info on the clubs the school offers to see which clubs would be a good fit for them.
Before COVID, club rush would be an in-person event where students would visit with the different club spokespeople to get more information on which clubs they could join.
Club meetings will be held through virtual platforms like Google Classroom. School staff says the club experience is beneficial, even if it is not done in person.
It’s recommended that students sign up for clubs in the next two weeks to ensure that no meetings are missed.
