Barren County accepts bid to relocate generator impacting parking garage
GLASGOW, Ky. – Excitement is building in Glasgow as discussions unfold about the new additions and renovations in the city.
City and Barren County leaders are collaborating through the Building and Property Committee to relocate generator wiring, which is a crucial step for necessary repairs to the downtown parking structure.
Jamie Bewley Byrd, Barren County judge-executive, highlights the importance of these changes, stating that they are essential for keeping the structure functional.
She notes that the third floor of the parking garage is currently unavailable, impacting both employees and local businesses.
“It’s hard for our businesses in the downtown area because a lot of our parking has become a little bit more of an issue than normal,” Byrd explains.
While she acknowledges that the renovation process is costly, she assures residents that efforts are being made to facilitate further construction in the city.
News 40 will continue to provide updates as these developments progress. The community eagerly anticipates the positive impacts of these enhancements on Glasgow’s infrastructure and economy.
