Barren Co. High School senior named Coca-Cola Scholars regional finalist

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A Barren County High School senior has been named a regional finalist for the 2025 class of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
According to the district, BCHS senior Grant Harper is moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 scholarship.
Barren County Schools says reaching this level sets students apart as “extraordinary leaders in their school and community.” Schools officials say there are over 105,000 applicants and 1,336 semifinalists in the program.
Regional Finalists will now participate in the next phase of the selection process, which includes a 20-minute interview with the Regional Interview Committee made of foundation staff member and previous Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship recipients. After these interviews, officials say 150 students will be named Coca-Cola Scholars and receive a $20,000 college scholarship.
A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States.
With the addition of the 2025 class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 7,050 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $87 million in scholarships over the course of 37 years.
