Back-to-school dates for Bowling Green, Warren County and more

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – School is almost in session again, and you may be wondering when classes begin at local school districts.

Parents and guardians are undoubtedly getting ready for the new schedule shift right around the corner. The following schools will start for Kindergarten through 12th grade on their designated date:

WARREN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

BOWLING GREEN INDEPDENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

  • Bowling Green Independent School District says the first day of classes for Bowling Green Independent schools for Kindergarten through 12th grade is Aug. 15.
  • However, the first day of preschool for Bowling Green Independent schools is Aug. 21.

ALLEN COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • Allen County schools begin Aug. 9.

BUTLER COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • The first day for Butler County Schools is Aug. 9.

GLASGOW INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS

  • According to the school district’s website, the first day of classes is Aug. 28.

BARREN COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • Barren County Schools will resume classes on Aug. 10.

CAVERNA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

  • Caverna Independent School District will begin classes on Aug. 22.

EDMONSON COUNTY SCHOOLS 

  • The district’s first day is Aug. 22.

HART COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • The first day for Hart County schools is Aug. 22.

LOGAN COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • Logan County schools begin classes on Aug. 9.

METCALFE COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • Kindergarten through 12th grade starts on Aug. 28.
  • Preschool classes resume on Sept. 5., according to the school district’s website.

RUSSELLVILLE INDEPDENDENT SCHOOLS

  • The first day back for Kindergarten through 12th grade is Aug. 9
  • Preschool classes will begin Aug. 21.

SIMPSON COUNTY SCHOOLS

  • The first day for classes for Simpson County Schools is Aug. 16.
