Baby Boom at Warren County Sherriff’s Office

WARREN COUNTY, Ky.- 2023 was a big year for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Nine employees had babies, from March to December. The office had what they call a “baby boom”.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower, shares what it’s like from his perspective seeing all of the babies and their families. He says, “It’s very exciting. We’re just trying to keep up with the growth of Warren County.”

According to Casey Micotto , the evidence technician at the Warren County Sheriff, no one expected the babies to come in the same year and so close in age.  Casey tells us “No, the boom itself was not planned. It kind of makes people remember the deputies and police officers and everybody is real people and they have real families. And it’s cool to get to experience that with everybody, even the ones that didn’t have babies.”

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says they are raising future dispatchers and deputies.
