Aviation Heritage Park Camp takes kids to new heights
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Some campers in Bowling Green are going up, up and away.
Thursday was the second and final day of the 2019 Aviation Heritage Park Summer Camp. It took place at the Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport.
During the camp, kids learned about aircraft instruments, engine and aircraft design, weather and more.
Campers even had the chance to practice takeoffs and landings with a flight simulator and go up in a plane with a certified FAA flight instructor.
The camp was held in conjunction with the Aviation Museum of Kentucky.
