Aviation Heritage Park announces groundbreaking date for indoor museum
A groundbreaking date has been announced for an indoor museum at Bowling Green’s Aviation Heritage Park.
The park’s groundbreaking and capital campaign kickoff will take place on October 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the park.
As WNKY reported last month, the new museum will feature aviation memorabilia, classrooms and space for aircraft and events. The building will be 10,000 sq. ft.
As of today, the park has already raised $300,000 for the project through a grant and some donations. When it’s all said and done, the total cost should be around $2 million.
Phase 1 of the project, which will consist of prep work on the site, will begin October 15, followed by phase 2 in the spring.
