Authorities working to locate suspect in Hardin Co. robbery

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. – Authorities are working to locate a suspect involved in a Leitchfield Road convenience store robbery.
According to WNKY New 40 media partner K105, a man reportedly robbed Eastview Food Mart on in Hardin County at gunpoint around 9:37 p.m. on June 30.

Investigators have since released surveillance video showing the suspect.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and carrying a black backpack. He then demanded cash from store clerks before leaving with an undetermined amount of money, authorities say.
The suspect reportedly ran east.
“Surveillance footage (which can be seen below) also appears to show the suspect has an unusual gait, when fleeing pursuant to the robbery,” the sheriff’s office said, noting an obvious limp as the suspect runs.
The suspect is described as a white male that stands at least 6 feet tall with a large build. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a black sweatshirt worn inside out, black pants and black shoes.
The sheriff’s office in mid-July released photos of the suspect.
“Investigators have already conducted numerous interviews based on tips provided by the public and are hopeful that additional information will help identify the suspect,” the sheriff’s office said.
“This was a dangerous crime, and we are determined to identify and arrest the person responsible. We urge anyone who may recognize this individual or have information about this robbery to come forward,” Lt. Col. David Lee said.
