Authorities search area of Lewisburg after report of male with potential weapons

LEWISBURG, Ky. – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says it will be patrolling an area in Lewisburg following a report of a male with possible weapons.

According to a notice, authorities received one report Tuesday morning within the Quality neighborhood of New Hope Road in Lewisburg of a male carrying what appeared to be a rifle and a knife.

The sheriff’s office responded to the scene, along with Lewisburg police.

Authorities say they searched the area on foot and using a drone but were not able to find the individual.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says it has not received any other reports of the individual at this time. However, deputies will be patrolling this area more heavily.

The male subject is described as around 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall with dark clothing. Do not approach this individual if you see him.
