Can memory influence what we eat? A new study on mice published in “Nature Metabolism” found there are neurons in the brain that carry memories about sugar and fat. What this means is advertisements or things in our daily environment can remind us of experiences we had eating good food, which can cause us to eat unhealthy or overeat.  

New study shows stress on surgeons made them better

A study on the impact of stress on surgeons yielded some surprising results. The results, published in the JAMA network, found surgeons experiencing stress performed better in surgery, which led to fewer surgical complications. While the authors warn that excessive stress may cause worse performance, moderate amounts of stress may lead people to perform better.
