New ways to treat opioid addiction

Doctors are trying new ways to treat opioid addiction, with mixed results. A study by UC San Francisco tried microdosing patients with Buprenorphine, which is one of the most common treatments for opioid use disorder. Using higher doses of the drug could cause withdrawal, so doctors tried lower doses, but they say it wasn’t as effective.
