Author, WCPL executive director to launch novel at the Capitol

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The community is invited to celebrate as Warren County Public Library’s executive director and acclaimed author Court Stevens launches her new novel, “Tell Me Something Good.”
At the Capitol on Monday, June 9, the public can join Stevens at 6 p.m. to hear from her and author David Arnold as they discuss her adult literature debut, followed by a book signing and meet-and-greet.
For the occasion, the library says 200 free copies of “Tell Me Something Good” will be distributed at the event.
According to the Warren County Public Library, this novel “blends the heart and hope of Fredrik Backman’s Beartown with the Southern Gothic atmosphere of Flannery O’Connor.”
The library says the story centers around an illegal auction with deadly consequences, long-buried secrets in a rural Kentucky town and the complicated ripple effects of a decades-old tragedy. At its core, it’s a novel about love, memory and the unbreakable bonds that tie us together—even through silence, loss, and betrayal.
New York Times bestselling author Joshilyn Jackson praises the book, saying: “This is a writer that understands people down to the bones. Her characters are fallible and hopeful, flawed and loving, and so real they have stayed with me.”
Admission is free, but tickets can be reserved online at warrenpl.org.
