AT&T Gifts Western Kentucky University Students with $42,000
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce held their monthly coffee hour at The National Corvette Museum Wednesday morning and AT&T gave a huge gift to western students.
AT&T gifted students in the Disaster Science Operations Center $42,000 as part of their Climate Resilient Communities Initiative. The Barren River Area Development District is one of only 5 communities to be selected nationwide for this initiative. They are hoping gifting his money will help these students build a stronger tomorrow.
“We want to support these students because these students are going to be the leaders of the future, who we’re going to work with companies like AT&T and others to, be able to have robust infrastructure in our country” said President of AT&T Kentucky, Carlos E. Sanchez.
The coffee hour also hosted many local politicians, discussing a wide range of topics from Kentucky’s budget to public education, and Kentucky politics on the federal stage.
