Arts of Southern Kentucky announces $75,000 gifts made to the organization
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-After the Arts of Southern Kentucky received a huge financial boost, another recently came to the organization.
Two gifts combining to equal $75,000 were made by Sherry and Jeff Reed, along with an anonymous donor. Jeff Reed is the president and CEO of the Arts of Southern Kentucky.
The $50,000 coming from the Reed’s gift will be split evenly between operating expenses and the establishment of the Sherry and Jeff Reed endowment.
This gift comes after the announcement of a one-million-dollar donation from Rita and Jim Scott. Gary Ransdell with the Arts of Southern Kentucky says it’s a sign of great things to come.
“Now that we’re beginning to come out of the pandemic, these gifts give a great boost of support and confidence that we are indeed coming out of this pandemic in a strong fashion,” Ransdell said.
In recognition of this gift, a star dressing room at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center will bear Sherry and Jeff Reed’s names.
