Annual Hope for Hunger event generates $45,000

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky raised thousands of dollars to assist those in need in our community.

This year’s Hope for Hunger event generated more than $45,000 to feed children and families struggling with food insecurity in Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Muhlenberg, Simpson and Warren Counties.

Nearly 128,000 servings of food were delivered to local schools last week to restock their food pantries.

In addition, a check totaling over $8,500 was presented to Hotel Inc.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s event was a sort and delivery only.

In year’s past, the realtors and business partner members camped out and slept in tents over three-days to collect monetary and item donations.
