Annual holiday campaign collects 700 items for area unhoused

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local business delivered vital needs for unhoused individuals Friday morning, following a two-month donation drive.

Leachman Automotive held its fifth annual “Holidays for the Homeless” campaign in November and December of 2025.

The campaign asked the community to donate essential winter items like hats, coats, blankets, gloves and non-perishable food items.

Leachman selected Hotel Inc., a Bowling Green-based nonprofit, as this year’s recipient of a record-setting 700 donations.

Hotel Inc. executive director Karen Foley believes collaborating with other nonprofits and businesses is critical to helping those in need.

“Hotel Inc. Is one of a number of really strong non-profits here. We try as much as we can to work with our sister organizations here in this community, because we do believe that when we work together, we truly are able to impact more people. And really, community is what it’s all about,” Foley says.
