Annual Fur Ball raises thousands for local animal shelter

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s an event that is held every year, and Saturday night’s 13th Annual Fur Ball at the Sloan Convention Center attracted a sold-out crowd that packed the house. The formal event raises money for the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society.

The evening started off with a silent auction for items geared towards pets as well as humans and a couple of hours later, dinner and a live auction got underway.

Lorri Hare, the director of the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society said between the corporate sponsorships, auction and tickets to the event, the shelter hoped to raise $300,000 by the end of the night.
