Annual City of Bowling Green meeting discusses strategic goal planning

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A conversation is a difference made, and an annual discussion among leaders in Bowling Green aims to do just that.

The City of Bowling Green held its special work session for strategic goal planning at Bowling Green Ballpark on Thursday.

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, Public Works, members of the Bowling Green Police Department, personnel of the Bowling Green Fire Department and many other officials gathered to discuss future financial ideas, public transit updates, the Riverfront project, Southern Kentucky Non-profit alliance and more to ensure Bowling Green becomes better.

Sue Parrigian, a Bowling Green City commissioner, says, “We sort of set the plan for the upcoming year. Financial overview and opportunities to improve our financial standing. It’s a very high-level general meeting all of our city commissioners, our city manager, mayor. We’re here to all get on the same page as we look forward.”

She also mentions that sitting down and preparing for the future of the city is one of many ways city leaders plan to meet goals and create a better community for everyone who enters the city limits.
