BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The National Corvette Museum has announced the appointment of a new member to its board of directors.

According to the release, Andy Pilgrim, a 2012 inductee into the Corvette Hall of Fame, will be joining its board.

“To be welcomed onto the National Corvette Museum Board is an incredible honor,” Pilgrim said. “The Museum represents the heart and soul of the Corvette community, and I look forward to supporting its mission, engaging with fellow enthusiasts, and giving back to the people who’ve given me so much over the years.”

Pilgrim’s resume includes decades of racing experience, starting all the way back to the age of 26.

The museum says his contributions to Corvette racing include an instrumental role in “delivering Corvette Racing’s first-ever win in 2000 alongside teammate Ron Fellows.”

Outside of the racing world, Pilgrim is an advocate for traffic safety and a founder of the Traffic Safety Education Foundation, an organization whose goal it is to educate everyone about responsible driving.
