An Evening with C.S. Lewis Friday night at SKyPAC
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Actor John Payne will portray the life of the famous “The Chronicles of Narnia” author, in his show “An Evening with C.S. Lewis”.
The two act show takes place Friday night at SKyPAC tonight at 7:30.
Available tickets tonight cost $50.
The show is set in Lewis’s home outside of Oxford in 1963, when a group of American writers come asking about his life.
Lewis recalls his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien, why he almost abandoned “The Chronicles of Narnia” series, how he came to embrace Christianity and more.
Payne said the show is filled with ups and downs, and there’ll be a session after the show for questions.
“People that come along will probably be surprised by how much they actually laugh, because C.S. Lewis had a great sense of humor. They might also shed a tear when he talks about his wife and how he coped with her death after she died of bone cancer,” said Payne.
For those in Nashville this weekend, the show will run at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center tomorrow.
