The VFW Post 5712 in Scottsville is hosting an American flag retirement ceremony.

These ceremonies are a dignified way to dispose of a worn-out or unserviceable flag.

That will be held at 934 Old Glasgow Road on Saturday at 11 a.m. This even is open and free to the public.
