Alvaton woman arrested after open alcoholic drinks found in vehicle

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – An Alvaton woman has been arrested after authorities say she fell asleep in a vehicle.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched Friday to a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway.

Deputies say upon arrival, they found a female asleep in the driver’s seat with several open alcoholic beverage containers in the vehicle.

Authorities say they woke up the driver, identified as Jamie Knois of Alvaton, and asked her to exit the vehicle.

Knois showed several clues of impairment, authorities say.

Knois was arrested and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.
