Alvaton firefighters rescue cat stuck in a tree

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Firefighters came to the rescue of a furry friend in need.

According to a social media post, the Alvaton Fire Department responded to a cat stuck in a tree Saturday evening.

AFD says the cat was approximately 50 feet up the tree and had been stuck for 48 hours.

Firefighters used ladder and rope equipment to remove the cat from the tree.

AFD says “Socks” was excited to return to his owners.
