Alvaton Fire Department truck hit by vehicle while responding to collision

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Officials are reporting no Alvaton personnel are injured after a fire truck was struck Saturday.

According to the Alvaton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched just before 2 p.m. to an injury collision at the 14-mile marker of Interstate 65 southbound.

Officials say as units assisted the occupants and Med Center EMS, a second driver struck the back of Engine 23.

No Alvaton personnel were injured in this collision, officials say.

The Kentucky State Police will continue investigations into both incidents.
