Alvaton Fire Department responds to collision, structure fire Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Firefighters responded to a crash and a structure fire Saturday afternoon.

According to a social media post, the Alvaton Fire Department responded to a multiple-vehicle injury collision near Phil Moore Park at 12:21 pm.

AFD shut down the roadway and extricated one driver, who did not sustain injuries, from a vehicle.

Firefighters removed a large amount of debris from the roadway.

The post did not state the extent of injuries sustained in the crash.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Med Center EMS and Warren County Emergency Management assisted AFD.

At approximately 3:53 pm, AFD responded to a reported structure fire on Greenhill Road, according to the social media post.

Firefighters located an outdoor storage shed that was fully engulfed near other structures

AFD says the blaze was quickly extinguished.

Gott, Plano, and Richardsville Fire Departments, and Med Center EMS assisted AFD at the scene.
