ALPLA Inc. breaks ground on 60,000 square-feet of warehouse space
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – ALPLA Inc. broke ground on a $6.9 million project in the Kentucky Transpark on Wednesday that includes the addition of 60,000 square feet of warehouse space and new job positions.
ALPLA Inc., a world leader in the development and production of plastic packaging solutions, held a groundbreaking ceremony on site where a new warehouse will be built.
The expected eight-month project also consists of two additional production lines which will create 24 new positions.
The expansion project will have an economic impact on South Central Kentucky totaling $52.64 million over the next 10 years.
In 2013, ALPLA Inc. created 72 new jobs, $22.4 million in capital investment and purchased their current building.
The Plant Manager, William Johns, said that was possible due to the opportunities for growth in Bowling Green.
Johns tells us the goal is to see the warehouse completed by the end of August.
The project is being led by The Murphy Construction Group in Bowling Green.
