Allen County-Scottsville’s Rutledge announces commitment to WKU Golf

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Wednesday evening, standout Patriot golfer Barton Rutledge shared over social media where he’s planning on playing at the college level, and it’s not too far from home.

Rutledge announced his commitment to compete for head coach Austin King and the Tops following his senior year at Allen County-Scottsville High School.

As a junior, Rutledge put on the best postseason performance in ACS golf history, where he took home the Region 3 championship, then went on to finish in second place for the state championship.

Now this fall, he will look to repeat that success, and after that he will set his sights on competing within the Conference USA ranks for Western Kentucky University.
