Allen County Scottsville hosting Patriot Pride Wellness Night before ACS football game Friday
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Before the Allen-County Scottsville Patriots take the field Friday for their football game against Logan County, families can check out wellness resources in the community through Patriot Pride Wellness Night.
It’s hosted by ACS Cares and the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers.
One of the key attractions is a crash simulator from Kentucky State Police, showing the impact of wearing a seatbelt or not.
It’s all held alongside the Pink Out game, with staff saying it’s a chance to learn what help is available if you ever need it.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to just remind people that I know sometimes we say mental health and people… have their own thoughts about that, but really it’s just about making sure that we’re doing well and we’re in a good place… and so there’s lots of different resources and ways to do that. We’re going to be giving away a lot of freebies, and just all kinds of resources to be able to meet the needs,” ACS HELPS program director Mallory Hart says.
The fun starts at 5:30 and runs until game time at 7 near the tennis courts at Allen County-Scottsville High School.
