Allen County 4-H seeks host families

ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky 4-H International Program are looking for families that will host a summer stay for international students.

The exchange program still needs to place eight children ages 15-17, and one adult in a home. From July 21 to Aug. 16, local families can give Japanese students an opportunity to experience American culture.

Requirements include:

  • A child of the same gender as the international student in the home.
  • The child must be over 10 years old.
  • The child must be within three years of the international student.
  • All applicants must go through the Client Protection Process (All fees are covered by K4HIP).

Families have the opportunity to make an impact and lifelong connection with the students. Allen County 4-H says that the purpose is to exchange cultures, ideas and experience something new.
