All WKU campuses closed, classes canceled from Jan. 29-30

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  Due to hazardous winter conditions, Western Kentucky University says all of its campuses will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 29 and Friday, Jan. 30.

In addition, WKU says all classes are canceled on both dates.

WKU also says it Preview Day, originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, has been rescheduled for Feb. 16.

According to WKU, many walkways, parking lots and other surfaces are extremely slick, and ice accumulation continues to pose a significant risk of falling tree limbs.

If you must be on campus, WKU asks individuals to exercise caution and limit outdoor movement whenever possible.

Facilities and grounds crews will continue to monitor conditions and address priority areas.
