AKFA Aluminum Solutions to establish first U.S. manufacturing facility in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – AKFA Aluminum Solutions LLC, an aluminum manufacturing company, announced that it will be building a new manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, according to the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce.

The Uzbekistani based company is set to launch manufacturing operations in the United States, a release by the chamber states.

The chamber says the facility will serve as a full cycle production hub that will integrate recycled aluminum billets and energy reinforcing the region’s growing reputation in sustainable, advanced manufacturing.

AKFA is one of the largest manufacturers in Central Asia, the release states, with exports to over 30 countries, supplying materials for construction, automotive, transportation, and renewable energy.

According to the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, the deal will be making history, being the first time an Uzbekistani based company has launched manufacturing operations in the United States.

The chamber says the facility is projected to create 331 jobs for the area.
