AG announces domestic violence indictment of Casey County man

FRANKFORT, Ky, – A Central Kentucky man has been indicted on domestic violence charges.

The Office of Attorney General Russell Coleman says Matthew Daniel, 30 of Liberty, was indicted by a Casey County grand jury on Monday.

Daniel is charged with second-degree strangulation (Class D felony), fourth-degree assault, and domestic violence (Class A misdemeanor).

The indictment, issued on June 15, says Daniel strangled and assaulted a woman. The woman sustained injuries in the incident.

Daniel will be arraigned in Casey County Circuit Court on January 13, 2025.

According to the release, the Liberty Police Department investigated the case.
