Aerospace Composites Solutions set to open new factory in Morgantown
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A new development in Butler County is in the works, featuring Aerospace Composites Solutions’ newest location.
“We’re going to build a 150,000 square-foot facility. We expect to have 72 jobs here in the next two to three years and many more over the years as we grow. The efficiencies that we needed to gain from our own facilities are why we really needed to build this building because the climate control aspect of what we do in composites is very important,” Dale Griffin, owner of Aerospace Composites Solutions, says.
The new building will be part of the Morgantown Industrial Park, which will give the city a new hub for business.
According to Gov. Beshear’s office, this is a $16.8 million expansion.
“This is just the first of more stuff that can come here to this industrial park. We’re building a fire station here, a police station here. We want to do a lot to create an environment for people to come and work, and the best way to do that is create jobs. We’re providing a facility where you can do that,” Morgantown mayor Billy Phelps says.
Butler County is excited to partner with a local business to give them a new home and create tons of new jobs in the process.
“The exciting part about this is we’ve had this property now for roughly ten years and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity for someone to invest into it. Aerospace has committed to doing that. We feel that once they get this facility built, we’re going to see the industrial park here in Morgantown start expanding greatly,” Butler County judge executive Tim Flener says.
