Adolphus man charged with drug possession following traffic stop

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – An Adolphus man is facing marijuana, controlled-substance charges.

Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Ridge Church Road on Thursday.

Deputies identified the operator of the vehicle as Justin Shufelt, 50 of Adolphus.

According to deputies, a search of the vehicle found marijuana joints, methamphetamine crushed on the center console, and a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.

Shufelt was taken into custody and lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.

Shufelt is charged with no registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required ins/sec, 1st off, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine).
