Active shooter training to be conducted at WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Authorities say active shooter training will be held on campus at WKU Wednesday through Friday.

Western Kentucky University Police Department stated in a social media post that the training will last from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day at Douglas Keen Hall. In addition, the training will include WKU PD, Bowling Green Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Bowling Green Fire Department, EMS and other partners.

Individuals in the area may hear blank rounds being fired and may see several emergency vehicles and personnel around the training site, according to WKU police.
