A walkthrough of the Impact Center for Leadership coming to Warren Co.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Cumberland Trace road, visible from Interstate 65, is the site of the new Impact Center for Learning.
Sitting on the site of the old Cumberland Trace Elementary, the Impact Center will serve as one of the most unique schools in the country offering classes and courses that can’t be taught anywhere else.
Partnering with hugely influential groups, such as Georgia Tech, FranklinCovey and IBM, among others, the school will be bringing in state-of-the-art AI, along with printing materials and software for the students to learn with. Bringing in the new equipment hasn’t come without its set of challenges though. School leaders say that these challenges are just part of the fun.
“Figuring out what equipment, and what programs are going to go in here, that the best meet the needs of our community and our students. And it’s not been a challenge. It’s been really fun. But that’s, part of it, that’s that’s been, tedious, so to speak,” said Dr. Cody Rich, principal of the Impact Center.
The school is scheduled to open on time and will host its first class of students in 2026. The school will serves students from seventh to 12th grade and will work with other schools in the region so kids can attend part time while attending class at a separate school, or they can attend full time.
