A new, local studio provides space for artists
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new local space is joining community and music here in Bowling Green.
Angel Oak Music Group, located on Beech Bend Road, is a songwriting and recording studio. Its focus is to proved a creative outlet for local and traveling musicians.
COO of Angel Oak, Spence Sheldon, says majority of other labels “throws a dart at the wall and see if it sticks.” He adds that the studio is “not about that” and jeopardizing careers.
Sheldon says he believes Angel Oak strives to do “[their] very best to help any up and coming artists.” He says that the people of Angel Oak “genuinely care” about “everyone that’s going to step into our space.”
The studio is locally owned, too. The Reynolds Family established the studio in honor of their late father and family matriarch.
Bowling Green is projected to grow immensely in the next 25 years. As the city continues to grow, Angel Oak wants to strengthen the arts here in south-central Kentucky.
Logan Turner, CEO of Angel Oak Music Group, says that “a lot of artists” have been able to be an ambassador for their hometown. He believes BG can be “a place when people drop the name” and “associate good music and creativity.”
The Reynolds Family additionally owns several other businesses, including Beechmont Blueberries and Mammoth Valley Park.
