Fire consumes family’s home and rental vehicle in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A neighborhood and one of its families are recovering after an early morning fire consumed a home in the Richardsville area on Monday.

Around 2:50 a.m. neighbors on Fairbanks Avenue called 911 to report a home on their street was engulfed in flames.

A mother, her son and her 15-month old granddaughter were inside the home when the fire started. No one was injured.

The American Red Cross was on the scene to assist the family.

Fire officials believe the fire originated from the garage, but are waiting for State Fire Marshal to confirm.

Neighbors tell WNKY they suspect the rental Cadillac inside the garage caused the incident.

The family is staying with in-laws.
